Another year!

Choir is just around the corner!  Our first rehearsal will be September 1st at 7:30pm.  Please spread the word to people around the congregation who might be interested in joining us.

I will be updating the schedule over the next couple of days with anthem titles.

Weather

Please be aware that weather conditions over the next couple of days will likely be extreme enough for rehearsal to be cancelled Wednesday night.  I will call people on Wednesday with the final decision.  Our anthem for Sunday is Psalm 139, which should work fine without a Wednesday rehearsal if it comes to that.

Also, please note that the church office will be closed tomorrow due to weather.

Proposition

I'll be bringing this up at rehearsal tomorrow night, but wanted to post it on here first to give you a chance to think about it first.

If I were to videotape myself playing/singing each voice part separately for new pieces, and then post those videos on YouTube, would you utilize that resource to practice on your own outside of regular rehearsals?  Ponder this, and we'll discuss tomorrow night.
